What is "ZEH"?

What is "ZEH (Net Zero Energy House)"

A ZEH (Net Zero Energy House) is a home that strives to conserve energy as much as possible through high-insulation and highly efficient equipment while maintaining a comfortable indoor environment and creates energy through solar power generation and other means so that the net energy consumption of the home per year is roughly zero or less.

Energy-efficient Homes

ZEH stands for Net Zero Energy House

ZEH is a type of home designed to achieve a net energy consumption of zero or less over the course of a year. ZEH homes combine high insulation performance to reduce energy use, efficient appliances for energy savings, and renewable energy sources like solar panels to generate energy.

ZEH Promotion Goals and Results

As a “ZEH builder” Cool Japan House aims to increase the proportion of ZEHs (net zero energy houses) to over 50% by 2025.

*All our built houses are “energy-efficient homes that meet ZEH standards.”
